Welcome to
ALL SAINTS CHILD CARE CENTER
where our mission is to foster self-esteem, discovery, and age-appropriate
development for children
in a warm, caring, and nurturing environment.
Who We Are
All Saints Child Care Center has been in existence since 1956.
However, it was not until the early 1970's that it became a full-time,
certified Child Care Center. It operates under the auspices of All
Saints Episcopal Church, though its programs are non-profit and non-sectarian.
The Center is accredited by the Division of Youth and Family Services
of the State of New Jersey and is licensed for a capacity of 94 children.
It serves a diverse ethnic population of Caucasian, Asian and African American
children and employs teachers licensed in early childhood education.
The school is financed completely by tuition, with a limited amount of scholarship assistance available to families who require financial aid.
In the fall of 1993, All Saints underwent a major expansion and now
consists of four spacious, cheerful classrooms, a large gym and stage,
two outdoor playgrounds, and a full working kitchen. Located on private,
wooded grounds on a beautiful tree-lined street, All Saints provides families
with a safe, radiant setting for recreational activities in addition to
its broad educational curriculum.
What Parents Say About Us
All Saints Child Care Center has maintained a fine reputation for more
than four decades based on its strong value system and its reliance on
qualified teachers who employ modern educational techniques and a structured
learning environment to foster age appropriate development. Our success
can be attributed to the parents of the children we teach, who praise the
warmth and cheerfulness of the school and the individual attention their children
receive. It is their praise and the referrals they make that keep
the school thriving. Here are a few samples of what our parents say
about us:
"The moment I entered the sunny, cheerful room for the Primary Class
and met the teachers, my fears about leaving my one-year-old baby
in someone else's care all day immediately disappeared. I looked
at numerous facilities before All Saints with a mix of feelings, but I knew
this was the place for me almost instantly. My daughter has thrived
here."
"My daughter's been enrolled at All Saints since she was just three months old and I was worried that she wouldn't receive the level of love and attention I wanted for her. But every night when I pick her up, she smells like her teacher's perfume, so I know she's being hugged and cuddled all day long, which makes me feel great. Her care providers are the most loving people you could ever want handling your children."
"My son loves the playground and the gym and loves doing the art projects
that the school provides. But most of all, he adores his teachers.
He talks about them all the time! I know he is happy because All Saints is staffed
with sincere people who display genuine love and concern for the children."
"All Saints is bright and sunny - a really happy place with a stimulating curriculum
that is still sensitive to children's attention spans. The teachers
are warm, friendly and loving. I really couldn't be happier."
A Quality Program
At All Saints, we offer full-day and part time programs for newborns through Pre-K. All teachers are educated in Early Childhood Education and CPR certified. They also attend mandatory workshops on Staff Development yearly. The school is open year-round, with fall/winter, winter/spring and summer sessions. Enrollment is open throughout the year. Children under 16 months are enrolled in the Infant Class, where we maintain a maximum of three to four babies for each care provider and a limit of seven infants. One and two year olds are enrolled in the Primary Class, where the teacher/student ratio is one to six with a class limit of 20. The Intermediate 1 Class is where two and a halfs to three and a halfs attend with a class limit of nine. Intermediate 2 has three and a halfs to four and a halfs with a class limit of 20.
Creative Enrichment
All Saints provides an additional Music Enrichment Program which meets weekly. This is an interactive program that includes songs, musical instruments, percussion and much more! The children are always eager to participate...they love to sing and dance.
Out & About
All Saints plans monthly entertainment performances, including puppet
and magic shows, and visits from the local fire and police departments.
The children also attend field trips to local parks and museums.
Holiday and seasonal activities are planned year-round as well. Children
go apple picking, enjoy hay-wagon rides, and perform in holiday shows for
their families.
Curriculum & Goals
The goal for all four of All Saints programs is to encourage age-appropriate
development. Special focus is placed of helping children develop
fine and gross motor skills, as well as their cognitive and language abilities.
This is achieved by providing children with a daily class schedule and
curriculum that provides a structured and varied set of activities.
For example, children have a designated Activity Time, where they have
the opportunity to use manipulative toys, puzzles, blocks, paints, collage
materials, clay and play dough. They attend Circle Time, where they
partake in dramatic play, art, storytelling, singing and moving to music.
The school maintains a large gym with a stage and a beautiful outdoor playground,
where children enjoy physical activity both morning and afternoon on a
year round basis. There are also regularly scheduled morning and
afternoon story times and snacks, as well as a daily nap or rest period.
Pre-K students receive additional education in science, social studies
and math, as well as more specialized training in language and cognitive
skills. All children are encouraged to select their own activities,
which are appropriate to their individual stage of development. During
the summer session, there are extended outdoor activities, including daily
swimming.
The goal on all levels is to provide a rich exposure to
early literacy and a problem-solving approach to learning. In our
experience, this exposure and training provides our children with the essential
tools and structure they need to prepare them for the next level of their
education. It is every parent's dream to provide their children with
the very best. At All Saints Child Care Center, we recognize and
nurture this dream. Our goal is to provide top quality child care
in a warm, nurturing environment and to encourage every child to realize
their best potential. We achieve this by offering a diverse, structured
program designed to cultivate self-esteem, as well as essential problem-solving
skills that enable children to maximize their social, emotional, cognitive
and physical growth. The staff sets goals for each child, based on
that child's level of development and need, and the environment is structured
to provide time and space for each child to explore and develop their individual
interests.
