Here are the minutes of our October 29, 2009 meeting held at St. Paul’s Church, Paterson.

The meeting opened at 7:30 pm with Evening Prayer.
BUSINESS MEETING
The agenda was presented and approved.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the September 29, 2009 meeting. One correction was submitted. The minutes were approved as corrected.
John Murphy reported that the District 10 Admin. Fund had a balance of $628.00. He also described the importance of signing-in at District meetings and keeping him informed when a church changes its District 10 representatives.
PROGRAM: Mission and Ministry of District 10
John Hartnett reported that the District Evensong would be on Nov. 8, 4:00 pm at St. Elizabeth’s, Ridgewood. Other churches are invited to join the Joint Choir. There will be a Reception after the service; parishes are asked to bring finger food (cheese, fruit, cookies).
David Wolf reported that the District 10 Confirmation would take place on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at St. Paul’s at 4:00 pm.
David Wolf also reported that the Festival of Three Kings would take place on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, 11:00 am at St. Paul’s.
At our next District meeting we will reflect on the vision and identity of District 10.
Youth/children ministry: The plan is to invite persons interested or involved in children’s ministry to a future meeting to discuss the status and plans for children’s ministry in District parishes. The Diocesan Christian Formation Task Force might be included in this discussion.
Shared mission trips
· St. Paul’s is planning a trip to New Orleans in August
· St. Elizabeth’s and others are planning a trip to Camp Mechuwana in Maine on 6/27 thru 7/3/10
· Possible District Acolyte trip to National Cathedral in Oct. 2010
· St. Clement’s is planning a Habitat for Humanity trip for adults to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, 4/25 thru 5/1/10.
ELECTIONS:
· Lay deputy to Diocesan Council---Don Cairns, St. Clement’s, was nominated and elected to complete the 2 months in the current term and the following 2-year term.
· Youth deputy to Convention and District 10---No candidates

Emily Rennie reported that the Senior Ministries would have its David Hegg Awards Evensong and Reception on Sunday, June 13, 2010, 3:00 pm at St. Peter’s, Morristown.
Annual District event/picnic at St. Paul’s, Paterson, Saturday, June 26, 5:00 pm
St. Alban’s is about to call a new Rector.
All Saint’s has called a new Rector.
The closing prayer was given by John Hartnett.
