John Murphy reported that the District 10 Admin. Fund had a balance of $498.31.

Steve Boston reported that our Diocesan Council formed two new committees:  Diocesan Structure and Budget & Finance.  The Bishop wants to explore stewardship in the Diocese.  There was also concern about the Diocesan budget cuts affecting “The Voice” and technology.  John Zinn reported positive adjustments to the 2007 budget that was approved by Convention.  As approved in a convention resolution, half of these additional funds will be given to the National Church.  The other half will be used to eliminate the staff reductions that were in the original 2007 budget.

Prince Singh had no report on the Chaplaincy Program at Ramapo College.

Emily Rennie reported that the Senior Ministries Evensong and David Hegg Awards will be held on June 17, at Calvary Church, Summit; Reception at 3:00 pm and Service at 4:00 pm.  June 17 is Father’s Day; the day was chosen so Bishop Beckwith could be present.  Churches will be asked for nominations of seniors over 60 years who have been very supportive of church activities.  The nomination deadline is June 1.

Announcements:

David Wolf reminded all about the District Confirmation that will be on June 10, 4:00pm at St. Paul’s.  A letter with all the details will be distributed soon.  They need volunteers for chalice bearers, acolytes, choir, etc. The Confirmation Retreat will be on May 11 & 12.

Prince Singh stated that while the Diocesan Council is reviewing our Proposal on St. Mary’s Ministries we need to work on involving all parishes and expanding our ministries.
