Join Bishop Beckwith and Canon Jacobs in offering "Ashes to Go"

Ashes to Go

For the third year in a row, Bishop Mark Beckwith and the Rev. Canon Gregory A. Jacobs will offer a quiet moment of religious observance to busy commuters traveling through Newark on Ash Wednesday, March 5. During morning rush hour Canon Jacobs will offer "Ashes to Go" outside Broad Street Station in Newark; during evening rush hour Bishop Mark Beckwith will offer "Ashes to Go" outside Newark Penn Station.

If your congregation plans to join them by offering "Ashes to Go" at your local train or bus station, or another public location in your community, you can be included in the diocesan press release to northern New Jersey media by contacting the Communications Office no later than 12 noon on Friday, February 28.

To be included, simply email Communications Director Nina Nicholson at nnicholson@dioceseofnewark.org with who (your congregation's name and town), where (the location you plan to offer Ashes to Go) and when (the time you will offer Ashes to Go).
