Paterson church gears up for its 200th anniversary

[The Record] St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Paterson, looking ahead to its 200th year and the start of its third century in the gritty city that is its home, celebrated the anniversary Sunday with a proclamation vowing to continue its mission into future.

“Through worship, ministry and outreach, we will continue the path of the saints who have come before us,” the church’s rector, Rosa Brown, read from the proclamation to a sparse audience at a ceremony overlooking the Great Falls, the natural power source that led to the founding of the city as an industrial center.
