Submit Prayers of the People for General Convention via social media #prayersof

#prayersof

You are invited to add your prayers in words and images to The Prayers of the People at General Convention, via a social media campaign by the Society of St. John the Evangelist (SSJE) under the hashtag #prayersof.

Designed to connect people near and far in prayer throughout General Convention, each day’s prayers will follow one of nine themes: life, thanksgiving, praise, intercession, adoration, oblation, penitence, petition, and celebration. Prayers can take the form of words or images, and will be received through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. A selection of the prayers received through social media will be prayed at General Convention, and privately by prayer networks across The Episcopal Church.

To submit prayers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, include the hashtag #prayersof and the hashtag [#prayertheme]. Make sure that there is a space between the hashtags, for example: #prayersof #intercession. On Facebook, make sure your post is set to "Public" and only post ONE picture at a time.

You can post your prayers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram any time before the dates listed at right.

Optionally, you can sign up by June 21 at prayersofthepeople.org to receive email reminders and meditations. One day in advance you will receive an email request for prayers in words and images. The next day you will receive a beautiful audio morning meditation and evening reflection on the Prayer Theme, read and sung by Brothers of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist and a link to the prayers of the people read at the General Convention Eucharist.
