The Liberian Episcopal Community, USA (LECUSA) is holding its 10th Annual Convention in our diocese from April 10 to 12. All the events will be held between Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral and 24 Rector Street (Cathedral House) in Newark. All members of the diocese are invited to attend the Opening and Closing Eucharists and the Banquet.
The Opening Eucharist will be held on Friday, April 10, 7 p.m. at the Cathedral. Bishop Mark Beckwith, who is the current Chair of the Liberian Covenant Committee for the Episcopal Church, will be the celebrant and preacher.
The Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 11, 7 p.m. at 24 Rector Street. The National President of the Union of Black Episcopalians will be the keynote speaker and Bishop Beckwith will be one of the honorees.
The Closing Eucharist will be held on Sunday, April 12, 10 a.m. at the Cathedral. The Rev. Canon Gregory Jacobs will be the celebrant and the Rev. Dr. Canon Sandye Wilson will be the preacher. A luncheon will follow at 24 Rector Street.
