Minutes

Nina - techie stuff. She looked at what is provided by cpg and wrote up a report.
There was a great deal of discussion of what is involved in cold fusion and what is possible. The staff has been interviewed during July. Robert Harwood has that information. There seem to be some server issues related to MySQL - we can't create tables, they have to do that. John suggests e-mailing CPG and raising some of these issues. John will do this.

Susan brought up the tv advertising campaign. It was funded and the funding was doubled to be ready for a national campaign for Easter 2004. If we are going to be part of this everyone needs to be ready for what will happen. How does the diocese buy into that - what do we do with the web site. Susan's idea was that 815 had a plan that we can roll into. She has a call into Dan England.

Susan brought up the need to redesign the web site to make it serve us better. She brought a high-level strategy plan. The primary question is how do we blend information with evangelism. Susan will let us know about the stakeholders meeting...and then from there...

Contribute.. the software content management tool. John gave a brief summary of what it can do and how. We are recommending that copies be acquired so that the folks who are on Diocesan staff can do web updating. It must be on each machine that uses it. It can't be on the server. John will train the staff on the use.

Steve brought John a catalog to continue our upgrading. Do we want to go to getting video stuff? Streaming...is possible. Grab stills, etc. What do we need in the budget, what pieces are missing. Susan pointed out that toys are nice but someone has to be there to use it. Everyone brainstorm and get Steve a list of what we need to get to do the things we want to begin to do. John Murphy mentioned that Bergen Community offers some really excellent video courses.

Convention - what do we need? Susan expects that we'll need a press table. We'll be in Teaneck again. We want the standard stuff - power point, projectors, screens, the rolling announcements... information about this should be in the preconvention packet.
