For UTO Grant Applications (paper copy or Word format) |
| UTO will make grants in support of programs which: 1. Implement actions within the requesting diocese or province to (1) address compelling human needs, and/or (2) expand mission and ministry. 2. Are expended during the twelve months following the grant award. 3. Are a new work, a new phase of work or an expansion of existing work. 4. Gives special attention to disadvantaged persons, places or organizations. 5. Are a part of provincial or diocesan planned mission strategy. 6. In which the United Thank Offering participation is clearly identifiable. United Thank Offering will make grants for building projects. |
| Every UTO application must: - Demonstrate the Episcopal Church USA and/or world-wide Anglican Communion involvement; ecumenical or interfaith ventures may be included. - Show Episcopal Church USA and/or Anglican Communion financial support. - Be complete within itself. - Include a proposed income and expense budget for the year following the grant award, June to June |
| Important UTO Dates: Exact date tbd: Fall Ingathering for Parishes. UTO packets are mailed from the National Church office. Please take time to review it and work with you parish coordinator in planning the Fall Ingathering. January 25, 2008 : We will make our parish offerings from fall Sunday ingathering at the Diocesan Convention in January. The forms are available from Michael Francaviglia (mfrancaviglia@dioceseofnewark.org. or 973-430-9919) in hard copy and MS Word format. Submission deadline is Friday, November 16, 2007 to the Diocesan offices for review by the UTO Committee. Hearings will be scheduled for early December. |
