UTO Grant Process

The application period for 2012 will begin in October, 2011. More details will be posted at http://www.episcopalchurch.org/uto/.

Each diocese in The Episcopal Church may submit one application for a project within the diocese. The bishop must provide a letter of endorsement on letterhead stationary with signature and comments for applications within dioceses of The Episcopal Church.

The United Thank Offering supports programs that address compelling human needs by supporting the alleviation of poverty, both domestically and internationally, within the Anglican provinces, dioceses, and companion dioceses.

The United Thank Offering supports projects:
• That address poverty of women and children
• That make significant impact
• That demonstrate new and innovative work
• That are a part of a planned diocesan/provincial mission strategy

Draft applications must be submitted to the diocesan UTO review committee for review no later than Friday, December 3. The diocesan UTO review committee will select one application to submit to the UTO Office of The Episcopal Church, will work with the person completing the application to incorporate any changes or edits, and will arrange for the letter of endorsement. Please email draft applications to Michael Francaviglia, Director of Administration.

The diocesan submission deadline is Friday, December 2, 2011 to the diocesan office for the final review by the UTO committee and the bishop. The selected application must be accompanied by an endorsement letter with signature and comments.

For additional information contact Anna Byrne, UTO Chair at 201-585-7451 or ambyrne@verizon.net.
