Do you have a member of your congregation that is great with technology? What about that person that is a rockstar in retail sales? God has blessed us each with amazing talents and many times we miss letting them shine. Now is the time to find those talented people in your congregations and let them know how they can shine at the diocesan level.

The Arrangements Committee is asking for everyone to help connect them with talented people in our congregations who may not realize they can volunteer at the diocesan level. Below you will find brief descriptions of the various roles they are still looking to fill. As you read through them think of those amazing people in your congregations and who may be a great fit. Share the good news with them and guide them to the contact information below. Together as a diocese we will help create a strong Arrangements Committee and ensure the success of the 150th Convention.

Job Descriptions

Audiovisual Equipment Support – Work with a team to assure that all breakout rooms are setup according to spec sheets and set up all audiovisual equipment for workshops. Also provide support to workshop leaders in solving any audiovisual equipment issues.

Box Truck Driver – Drive a rental truck to transport diocesan supplies from Convention back to the diocesan office. The driver will also lead a team in the loading and unloading of boxes, and other materials.

Exhibit & Vendor Support – Work with small team to oversee the exhibit and vendor portion of the convention. This will include directing exhibitors and vendors to appointed areas, assist them with an issue that may arise, and verifying breakdown and cleanup of stations is complete.

Movers – Work as a team to ensure the return of diocesan materials back to the office at the conclusion of the convention. This job includes heavy lifting at the convention location and at the diocesan office.

Retail Sales – Work under the leadership of diocesan staff member Jane Jubilee in the selection of convention swag to sell at the convention, along with handling sales during the 2-day event. Salesperson should have great customer service experience.

Technology Support – Assist clergy and deputies in trouble shooting of voting technology. Should have experience in technology support.
