[NorthJersey.com] Beginning on March 23, a labyrinth will be open to the public at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 215 Boulevard in Mountain Lakes.

The large canvas labyrinth covers almost the entire floor of the Parish Hall and will be open during Holy Week, Wednesday through Good Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

"If you are looking for a quiet oasis in the midst of a chaotic world, a labyrinth offers serenity and peace," said The Rev. Adele Hatfield, co-rector.

Candlelight and quiet music enhance the walk. All are welcome to visit and walk the labyrinth.

Labyrinths are circular paths that lead to the center of the design.

"Labyrinths have been used for centuries by people of different faith traditions as a means for meditation and prayer," said Rev. Hatfield. "For Christians, making a symbolic journey to Jerusalem on the labyrinth can be a meaningful experience. It allows one to be open to God and to reflect on what God reveals as the path is walked."
